Registration is open now for two virtual training meetings to be held this month for new utility and community action agency personnel to learn about the IUC. The 90-minute meetings are:
- 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23
- 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29
The IUC Customer Service bureau conducts these meetings annually to provide an overview of the IUC’s regulation and jurisdiction. The meetings also will address:
- procedures for utility service disconnection,
- Iowa's annual winter moratorium and Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP),
- legislative updates,
- and IUC administrative rule changes.
