Iowa Utilities Commission (IUC) Customer Service staff will hold in-person training meetings in Western and Eastern Iowa, plus a virtual meeting for utility company professionals and community action agency staff members. The fall meetings are designed for new utility and community action agency personnel to learn about the IUC and will be held on the following dates:
September 4 – Council Bluffs – 2:30 p.m. at the Council Bluffs Public Library, 400 Willow Ave., Meeting Room A (in-person only)
September 25 – Coralville at 2 p.m. the Coralville Public Library, 1401 Fifth St., Schwab Auditorium (in-person only)
September 26 – 1:30 p.m. (virtual)
Topics to be discussed at the meetings include an overview of the IUC’s regulation and jurisdiction, procedures for utility service disconnection, Iowa's annual winter moratorium and Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) overview, legislative updates, and IUC administrative rule changes.
